Severe Weather May Delay Louisiana and Mississippi Court Searches

In anticipation of severe weather events expected to make landfall in the region of the Gulf Coast, courthouses in this area have begun closing their doors.

Multiple courthouses are now closed in the following states:

Louisiana:

Lafourche Parish
Jefferson Parish
Orleans Parish
St. Charles Parish
St. James Parish
St. Tammany Parish
Washington Parish

Mississippi:

Hancock County
Harrison County
Jackson County

Initial records from these jurisdictions and the verification of records in these jurisdictions may be delayed depending on when courthouses reopen. We continue to monitor this situation and will provide updates as they become available.
