DHS Extends and Redesignates Burma (Myanmar) for Temporary Protected Status (TPS)

USCIS found that the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Burma prevents nationals from safely returning and extended the TPS designation as a result.

Current TPS beneficiaries have from September 27 to November 26, 2022, to request an 18-month extension of status and work authorization. EADs issued to Burmese TPS beneficiaries that expire on November 25, 2022 have been given an automatic one-year extension and are valid through November 25, 2023.
