Quest Diagnostics Continues to Experience Service Delays

Truescreen partner Quest Diagnostics has advised they are seeing continued delays with processing specimens outside of their normal turnaround times. You may have observed this over the past few months and even inquired into why results are taking longer than normal to receive.


Quest is seeing higher specimen volume, shipping delays for both in-bound and out-bound specimens as well as meeting the demands of Department of Transportation (DOT) required changes to chain of custody forms. Unfortunately the labs are also being impacted by staffing shortages that further strains their ability to work within their established turnaround times.

This month Quest Diagnostics has hired additional staffing resources and by the end of this month will be implementing a second processing shift to handle increased specimen volume.

We are sharing this information from our partner to help better understand the unique challenges being experienced as we emerge from what has been truly unprecedented times. We are actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as they become available.
