NYC Commission on Human Rights gives presentation on the city's new background check laws

Paul Keefe, supervising attorney at the NYC Commission on Human Rights, gave a detailed presentation discussing NYC's two new background check laws: the Stop Credit Discrimination in Employment Act and the Fair Chance Act.

The presentation, which was hosted by the law firm Proskauer Rose LLP, provided an overview of these laws and sought to clarify the Commission’s interpretation of the laws and their exceptions.
