Under the new policy, state agencies will not ask about an applicant’s criminal record until an applicant has submitted an application and received an initial interview.
Additionally, the suit also alleged that Sodexo violated the FCRA by failing to provide applicants with a copy of the results of their background check report.
The plaintiff in the case reached a preliminary settlement in September and agreed to dismiss the case with prejudice on Nov. 3. Details of the settlement are currently not available.
