| Summary: Effective July 1, 2021, SB390, relating to school safety, school security officers and security guards, will expand the definition of "school district" to include "a school district, county office of education, and charter school." This bill will require "school districts, charter schools, county offices of education, and community college districts" to provide training and fingerprinting of all school security officer employees.

| Summary: Effective February 3, 2021, all for-hire drivers, including commercial drivers will be required to undergo pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal motor carrier safety requirements under Part 382 of Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations. The term "for hire vehicle" is defined as "a taxicab or livery having a seating capacity of nine or more passengers, including the driver, including an altered motor vehicle commonly referred to as a 'stretch limousine' having a seating capacity of nine or more passengers, including the driver."
