Truescreen working to establish procedure for the screening of volunteers pursuant to changes in Pennsylvania's child protection laws

In addition to the fee reductions for required Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearances and statewide criminal record checks, the state of Pennsylvania will also be removing the associated fees in their entirety when these searches are conducted on volunteers. We are connecting with the state to outline the procedure for processing Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearances and statewide record checks for volunteers and we will provide updates with any applicable changes. In the instance that Truescreen is able to assist with the processing of the volunteer population we will work with you to establish a procedure for ordering these searches so that no state fee is incurred.

It is also important to note that we will require our clients to identify volunteers versus non-volunteers so that fees can be applied appropriately. Truescreen will provide additional communication as we reach the July 25^th implementation date and as any additional information from the state becomes available.
