The new version of the Form I-9, dated 07/17/2017 N, will become mandatory for employers on Sept. 17, 2017.
The form has been updated to address the new “International Entrepreneur Rule,” and to update the form’s List of Acceptable Documents to allow acceptance of a State Department form indicating birth abroad.
USCIS also released a Q&A document regarding the new I-9 form.
Truescreen is currently updating our I-9 solution to incorporate this latest version of the form. This update is scheduled to be completed prior to the September deadline.
