7/7 Update: India Lockdowns Continue

India has had local and statewide lockdowns in place to combat the spread of COVID-19. Most states are relaxing restrictions and lockdowns, though some restrictions still apply and some lockdowns are still in force.

As a result of these emergency measures taken by Indian governments, the police have suspended certain public services including criminal record inquiries. Local police checks are not currently available and will remain unavailable for the foreseeable future. Until the police resume normal operations, we will be conducting court record checks. This should not cause any significant delays.

There are still restrictions concerning travel. Site visits are currently not possible. Businesses may still be operating in a limited capacity. There may continue to be some delays to components including education and employment checks. We are actively monitoring this work and will provide updates as they become available.
