USCIS releases updated M-274, Handbook for Employers

The handbook, provided by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), provides guidance on the completion of the Form I-9 and an overview of unlawful discrimination and penalties related to I-9 completion.

The updated handbook includes new sections containing guidance on issues such as automatic extensions of employment authorization documents  (page 13); failure of an employee to present acceptable documents (page 26); and correcting I-9s (page 29).
