The Los Angeles Superior Court has determined that they will not release full Date of Birth information for criminal cases without specific case files being reviewed at the particular Superior Court jurisdiction where the case occurred. Los Angeles has over 20 courthouses in various locations in the county.
While the majority of searches will not be impacted by this update (those individuals that have no records on file with the courthouse), those individuals in which a record is reportable per FCRA and California state guidelines, and especially those individuals with common names in which possible records appear for them, may have their record searches delayed due to additional manual work resulting from this procedural update by the Los Angeles courthouses.
These new procedures were made effective this week by the courthouse and communicated to the court runners that are utilized throughout this county.
