UPDATE: Fee increase for New York statewide criminal history record searches

As part of the state's fiscal year 2020 budget, the New York State Office of Court Administration will be increasing their fee for criminal history record searches to $96 per search.

The budget, which still requires the governor's signature, included the fee increase as a means to improve contributions to the state's legal services fund.

The fee increase will go into effect once the governor signs the budget.
