Criminal Searches
Criminal record checks in Nigeria have been disrupted as many government employees, including those in the Department of Criminal Investigation, were reassigned temporarily to assist with elections. Government employees are not fully back to their normal duties, causing continued delays.
We are working to complete these checks as quickly as possible.
Education Verifications
Education verifications in Nigeria may still be delayed as a result of the election closures in Feburary and March. Nigeria's National Universities Commission had directed all Universities to close while Nigeria holds elections. The planned, three-week closure required all academic activities to be suspended.
While there was no official extension, many Universities announced that they would remain closed through March 21st. Many schools are working through a backlog of requests. We are still seeing some delayed responses.
We will be continuing to actively monitor these services and will provide updates as available.
